I think that looks great, I'd shoot a matte or low gloss ( if that's a thing ) over it.

No. Wax it. Clear coating imparts a "candy coated" unnatural shine, and you can't undo what you've already done. If it's cleaned and detailed to the point where clear coat is in your mind, then a good waxing should do the trick, and it won't look fake or cheesy. IMO.
