Bed assembly
I am getting ready to assemble my bed and have some questions . Should it be painted apart ? It is going to have to be welded bed sides to floor when it goes together . Did GM use a sealer between bed sides and floor ? Thanks

assemble then paint ..do any welding before paint...I used weld thru primer in area like you described...what type of bed do you have?

68 short wheelbase and it needs each bed side spot welded to each side. I cant remember if it had some kind of sealer between were the sides and front panel bolt to the floor. I have it epoxy and high build primer on it now.
