Interested to see how you pull that off. could be cool...what's the plan for the dark areas? Some kind of grille/mesh or open?

It just a concept. To start with I need to get my hands on a reproduction grille that is steel and not aluminum. Really thats what will put a wrench in the whole idea.

Dark areas would probably be universal grille mesh set back just in front of the core support to protect the radiator.

hmmm....

I love the grille design, but i am just wondering what it will look like 3 dimensional. If done right, it could be the best looking grille setup out there.

I like it.

I love that truck. There are so many mods done to it that they are hard to list, but it still looks elegant and simple.

I know there is a chromed steel grille available for 71-72. Might talk to the vendors about getting it raw...

Absolutely! Brandon Sisco is a genius! The truck looks like a rolling cartoon rendering.

Re: In the beginning there was a 69 party (eyebrows up)

I made my patch panel for my door sill last night. I don't have a bend brake available at my house so I used a crossbrace I removed from the frame as my buck to make my bends.

Everything was going smoothly... for awhile.

Re: In the beginning there was a 69 party (eyebrows up)

I was working the panel into the truck and got in a hurry to get it done and burnt a hole right in the center of my new panel. Then I ran out of gas on my mig. So needless to say, it was time to stop for the night and start fresh later. Oh well, I'll patch my bone head mistake, learn my lesson, move on. It's not like this is the only hole on the truck that needs to be patched.

Obviously I still have to work in the curves and put in a rail for the rubber, but no biggie.

That is a safe prediction. Walking away is the what makes it a project and not a job.

The grille idea looks cool, can't wait to see how it turns out in 3-D!

HAHA! I actually didn't do any work this weekend. I spent the weekend recycling various beers.

(I do appreciate the accountability partner though!)

I'll get my bottle refilled for the mig and try to finish up the floor this week.

The pic below is the style seat I had made. The new seat ships Wed. so I really want to be ready for when it arrives. Mine is all black leather with no color.

They sell brackets that mount to the factory floor holes for a 67-72 chevy. American Lowback

Re: In the beginning there was a 69 party (eyebrows up)

column came in. Still waiting on the seat. Doesn't really matter right now, been putting in the OT and haven't had time to mess with the C10. Hope to get back on top of it soon. Got tons of cool stuff to do and cool toys to play with, now just need the time....
