Re: 97 s-10

swap in a 96-99 vortex 350 out of a full size. You use the same engine harness and change the connector at the injector spider and add two injector wires to the pcm. Then have the factory pcm tuned. Looks factory and hauls ass.. i have seen and helped with a few of them. BTW it will bolt to your existing transmission but it may not last long without a performance rebuild.

Re: 97 s-10

There are a lot of things you can do. Check out s10forum.com lots of good info on there. One thing I am going to do is try the throttle body mod on mine. I have a spare throttle body I have already modded, but I have not put it on yet, so I can't tell you from experience if its worth doing yet, but everyone seems to think so. Also, exhaust makes a big difference on the 4.3. Lots of stuff you can do, the sky is the limit.

Re: 97 s-10

nitrous... seriously though, help the breathing by installing a better TBI and intake manifold, help it get cooler air, better (or new) spark plugs, replace the vacuum hoses, new spark plug wires, headers, high flow cats (unless your state doesnt do emission tests, then run no cats), better flowing exhaust, performance remap of the ECU to compensate for above mods. you would be surprised at what a really good tune up and an exhaust will do for you.
