RHD factory 68'

greeting bowtie friends.. i went to see this truck to inquire about the visor off of it because it may also fit 68-70 chevy vans... well i bought the whole deal and have acquired a rare one today i think..
..it is absolutely a factory issued right hand drive 69 pick up
6cyl, 3spd,
only have a couple pics i grabbed today on my smashed cell phone, better ones this week but had to share the discovery today
story is.. original owner loved here in ct, and owned property in england.. ordered the truck specific with RHD ..even has a klm speedo
brought it to england and then back to the usa here again.. where a friend of mine used the truck as a mail truck for a dozen yrs or so
-i got some work to do.. not sure what i will be doing with it just yet
it has a wooden flatbed on it.. and am considering a "newer" model replacement bed

Re: RHD factory 68'

i've never seen one, and still cant find another one ... thats why i had to have it lol
.. not sure how far i will be able to dive into this though.. have a 65 chevy van that i really want to finish ... but we will see i guess ...
it's not as "bad" as many of my previous projects.. but it will be some work
(can see original color was blue.. that must have looked great )
the front edge of the hood is thin, but there is a 69' hood with the truck, and some misc other parts also came with it fortunately
the bed of course needs.. and the coil rear end has been swapped for a leaf spring set up
definitely the "real deal" here
(ps i'd trade for that vw any day thats sweeet)

Re: RHD factory 68'

i'll have it at my shop before the weekend, and will grab closer pics of the peddles and it a bit cleaner.. there is a few spots of rust, but i have seen far worse come back to life
unfortunately i wasnt planning on getting another project right now and once i clean it up, and grab the visor off of it.. really not sure of the plans for it
kind of wouldnt mind someone who's been wanting a RHD factory chevy to give me a yell and say... i gotta own THAT... but we'll see
..the longer i have it, the better it will get.. and thats good for any ol chevy

Pretty different, Curious as to what the heater core/box looks like since it appears to be in the cab.
