I think your bumper looks good, but if you think its still to bright try spraying some clearcoat krylon over it. It will darken it close to the color of the factory ralley wheels.

Looks good Tim, a big improvement. I just added the tailgate band to mine, also got he upper trim but am nervous about drilling the holes for the clips, got any tips?

Yeah,get clips before drilling holes.I thought I got them with the trim.The trim sits on the tailgate right how it needs to be.I hold it up there and make little marks along the edge where you`ll be using the clips.Check width of the clip against the width of the trim and determine if the hole will be centered or offset a bit(get measurement)from top to bottom.I can`t recall.

When I first got the truck the tailgate was all white and I knew it wasn`t the original.But,at least it was a decent GMC gate.I painted the medium blue in the background and outlined with red.The plan was to paint verticle red/white stripes across the bottom 1/2 of the letters,then blue/white stars on across the top 1/2.
