I changed to a cast iron intake today and bought a new thermostat housing (one without the temp sensor in it). It's heavy duty steal or cast iron not sure but I can't get it to stop leaking. Should I use RTV on it? Is there a trick?

There's a "leakproof" gasket, can't recall the brand but I found one at NAPA. I think it's blue, thicker than most and iirc, has something like an o-ring-type seal.

I was looking for that one but Advanced and O'reilly's don't carry it. If the RTV don't work I will try NAPA. Think I need to start going there anyways.
