*Long Lasting Rust Inhibitor*

I know this has been covered a lot as I have read a lot of previous post but....what could I buy locally at Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. that I could use to slow down the rust process, long lasting, and I can touch it up with paint? I have a couple spots on the front corners of my hood that I'd like to address.

I know it may not be what you want to hear...but you'll need to get to the surface below the rust..(bare metal) and get some epoxy on it...I'm not sure HD or Lowe's has what youll need..
Bare metal--epoxy--filler if needed--primer--then touchup..

Especially this area...is this a reflection? It looks like a underlying issue

Re: *Long Lasting Rust Inhibitor*

Thanks guys. Yes....there is some issues under the paint. I do plan on lightly sanding both areas and doing the prep work. Just looking for advise on the rust inhibitor that I could use that is long lasting and I can paint.

Re: *Long Lasting Rust Inhibitor*

It looks like filler over rust and I’d imagine it’s a lot worse than is looks. There is nothing from a box store that will save it.
