How much dew do I need to bribe you with to remember?

And why's it gone? The site should hold all of it's posts that weren't deleted by a mod.

thats why i said all but lost... you'll never locate anything no matter if the search is working or not. This server only recognises so far back and anything before that, you have to go page by page of by a dedicated link.

Re: very low buck frenched side marker mod

so glad this came back around!!

you got me looking at my side markers and then I pulled the tail lights to see if it could be done there.....thats when I got to looking at them has anyone tried cutting down the lip on the inside of the lens then cleaning up the ridge on the outside edge to make them resess into the stock location???? I need to find some spare lenses and try but it looks to be another easy mod to at least get them flush ( I think they may end up with a slight french)...anyone have a spare set they would donate to the cause????

Sure it's not the old thread cut-off in the user options? Sounds exactly like another forum I visit. Unless you turn it on to show all posts, you can't find any that are past a certain age. Only way you could was to play with web addresses, or find it by using a link in someone's profile (like in their post history).

If ya got time, PM me some things to search and I'll mess around and look.

Re: very low buck frenched side marker mod

Here's another version of this mod I saw at a show today. Not sure if he used a spare lense frame to make the cover or what.

I was thinking of doing that to cover my cracked paint.

I was thinking as I read through this thread that a metal cover like this would look good with the "frenched" side markers. Now to get some made with really clean lines...

Re: very low buck frenched side marker mod

If you work slow and mind the heat the paint ought to be fine. My trucks got some cheapy paint job so it was bad behind the lense to start. I put painters tape around the edges incase the wheel jumped outta the cut.

Plus if you don't like it, slap the clips back on and screw the lens back on like stock.
