I thought the same thing, $3,500. Then it processed, $35,000. Some of these people are smoking crack with their prices.

I've been checking CL for months in my area, and the prices I'm seeing on these trucks lead me to believe that you are right about the smoking crack. I actually went and looked at a '67 1T flat bed that was advertised for $6k. It needed EVERYTHING. It ran and drove, but the trans was slipping. It had out of state plates, as well, but I don't recall if they were even current. There is a C/20 with a camper shell on it that the guy is advertising (for many months) for $18k. Crazy.

The thing I noticed is the Custom Camper emblems are too far forward on the door....Is this a variation between assembly plants?

Yes, that is absolutely a variation of plants. I figured that mystery out a few years ago. Here’s an original one I had several years ago

Dale here’s a good thread on this topic where we hashed it out: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=579296

It also appears that Flint carried any white cab paint completely around the door window frame for two tone schemes - other plants like Fremont apparently didn’t.

Yep... looks like a nice conversion, but as always you gotta go look. It's only a couple of hours from me but I'll just stay home and out of the dog house with the wife.

Re: Post Your Craigslist Finds Part 2

It's a nice truck but seems to me a few odd repaint decisions were made when converting to dark olive (dark olive door interiors yet rest of interior remained orig med olive). And while it appears the interior (or most of it) was left the original med olive, when you look at the SPID, you can see yet another (original) shade of med olive under the SPID transparency, as if the rest of the interior was painted some off-shade of med olive. Who knows, I'm kinda scratchin my head though. And maybe I'm going cross-eyed but the Cheyenne emblems look to me to be misplaced on the fenders.

Agree. The passenger side Cheyenne emblem appears to be located higher/closer to the trim in comparison to the drivers side.

Looks like they painted the inside of the glove box door dark olive seams strange.

On the other side of the coin, this would be an excellent candidate for a "cut down" job, since this a complete running patina '72 Cheyenne with a lot of bells and whistles, many routes to choose

Custom (and Deluxe) and Cheyenne (and Super) share the same hole locations.
