np 203??

I have an np203 converted to part time and every two weeks or so I shift into 4 wheel high but dont lock in the hubs just to spin the oil. Today when I came home I shifted in to nuetrul and put it back into 2 wheel high. But I noticed I could shift the tcase even in drive or park. I used to only be able to lock it when the truck was in nuetrol? Is this a problem or what?

I've got a 203 in my '69 K5 and it does that sometimes too. I usually have to reach under it and move the linkage manually while the truck is in Neutral.
