Mounting depth for rear 8" sub in suburbans?

Anyone know how much depth is there for the 8" sub in my 2002 suburban? Its blown and I want to replace, just don't know what my options are beyond stock. Its the base stereo.

Re: Mounting depth for rear 8" sub in suburbans?

I use Crutchfield for this information;

They say the mounting depth of the stock subwoofer is a hair over 3", with a mount height of 1.177 inches, and the cutout is 7.346" for the 8" subwoofer. They carry a VERY limited selection of what will fit there - all some-what pricey. With those dimensions, though, you should be able to find something to work.
