Re: Brake help

Your existing booster should be sufficient. Did you use all stock parts from the 72, ie: the master, the valving, the calipers, and everything? Or is it a mix and match of stock and aftermarket?

It's easy to mismatch the MC bore size and the caliper bore size if they're not meant for one another.

Re: Brake help

I do have a 72, disc/drum, and had very hard brakes also. Replaced m/c, booster, front pads, bled the whole system, all didn't make much difference. Recently redid the rear drums, shoes, springs, and wheel cylinders, and that made a world of difference. It was pretty frozen up so maybe take off the rear drums and see how easily they move? There are plenty more folks on here who know way more than I do, but the rears were the culprit with mine.

Re: Brake help

Thank you for the info. I can definitely try the rear refresh n see what happens.
