Shopping for replacement longbed

My rear corners (around taillights) are really rough. Lots of thick bondo (1/2” or more) covering rust and dents.

I think I prefer the steel floor but I’m open to wood floor too. I think the wood floors will likely needs lots of repair though and I’d like to keep the costs down.

Planning to put the bed on a flatbed trailer (sitting the bed on top of my gorilla garden cart during transport and to move around once I get it home).

Re: Shopping for replacement longbed

67-72 beds are the same and will bolt up directly where your old one once resided, the tailgate is identical also.

Ok cool glad to hear they are all the same. Thought I read somewhere that the tailgate hinges were different through the years. As for your bed, from the pics it looks like it’s in good shape. Riverside is a bit of a drive though. Gonna try local first. Thanks

Re: Shopping for replacement longbed

Well I’ve looked at a few so far. None of them are nice enough for me to commit to. I’m just gonna keep moving forward with my current bed. If I find a mostly perfect long bed I may do a swap in the future.

Re: Shopping for replacement longbed

The bedsides are the same for 67-72 but the 1967 doesn't have cutouts for side light markers. Just heads up.
