Re: 69 Olive Verde

Sway bar back from powder coating and looks awesome installed. Also finished up the power steering. Tonight's game is metal fab for the vintage air and brake pedal assembly.

Re: 69 Olive Verde

Got the bed put back together with all the new and old parts and ready for final block and prime. And moved back to the cab. Try my hand at building a tranny tunnel and brake pedal assembly.

Re: 69 Olive Verde

I will be the first to admit I am not a good sheet metal worker. But did get a lot of things figured out this weekend and the engine bay templates made. Hopefully over the next week I can finish all the metal work up and get back on body work because that's so much fun.

I think your metal skills look pretty darn good. How straight forward are the Slosh Tubz to install? They are probably in my future.

They're not to bad. Had to cut inner fender structure to install and from there I got new fender clips and 11/4" long bolts so I could work the entire fender well slowly up until it fit up correctly, as recommended by slosh tubz. And the overall fit and look is very nice and clean. Makes you want to go overboard on the whole engine bay.

Re: 69 Olive Verde

Do they have a template included or did you just cut,fit,cut,fit..until you got it right

Re: 69 Olive Verde

After a short break of vacation time and long list of home repairs and upgrades...Olive Verde is back on the chopping block. As I am a bit OCD on project management these days I was unable to allow myself to work on the truck until it had my full attention again. The last 2weeks I have been getting organized and making big purchases to get this truck painted and wrapped up over the next few months.

Custom interior is being made now which I can not wait to see as it is far more money than I have ever considered spending on an interior ever! But should be here in 7-9 wks which is officially my due date to be out of the paint booth.

Wiring and programming was also outsourced and should have back early next week. So here I am with nothing but block sanding in my near future.

Pictures will be coming this weekend.

Re: 69 Olive Verde

Forgot to get any pictures up. Here's a few boring pictures. I plan to get more progress done by tomorrow so I can get more boring body work pictures for you guys haha. Believe me I hate it just as much as you do. Painted deadline is end of August and I am extremely motivated to make that a reality.

Re: 69 Olive Verde

Cab getting ready for body work. So many small details and areas that need attention to do this part right. Hoping to get the cab in final prime so I can put truck back together one last time this weekend for final hood, fender and cowl fitment before blowing back apart for paint.

Wow sounds so easy typing it.

Really nice build. Similar to the direction I'm heading but just getting started.

Kane, what is the finish on the exhaust? It is eye catching.
