Auto power brake assembly

Need automatic power brake assembly (pedal) for a 1966 K20, or other year if it works. Tom

Re: Auto power brake assembly

Same pedal for manual and power as far as I know. The pedal pad is different, says Power Brake.

Re: Auto power brake assembly

Is the pedal pad wider or same width. If same would I just have to remove clutch pedal arm and pad?

Re: Auto power brake assembly

Same width. Not like in some vehicles where the brake pedal is wider on automatics. I would pull out the whole pedal assembly and put it on a bench, from there it's fairly easy to see how to eliminate the clutch pedal.

Re: Auto power brake assembly

I’ll probably remove clutch pedal and use existing brake pedal. If I go the other route I’ll contact you. Tom

Tom, the difference is a welded on metal piece intended to make the pedal sit lower to the floor - hence the name "low pedal" power brakes. So, the arms are and are not the same. Are in that they are cast the same as one another, but the PB one gets modified after that casting to be a PB arm. Hope that makes sense.

I think Pimpston was just offering you the pad here, not the whole pedal. If you want a pad that says Power Brake on it.
