Re: 67 long box

Found all the stuff I need to run door wiring and pins. I also got new tach conectors for the dizzy. One little think at a time. The aluminum block is to make door pin wedge blocks. 67 doesn't have the raised door pin boss. They don't make or sell them so..

Re: 67 long box

I had to move my machine shop to the fabrication department. With my precision craftsman 8" drill press and CNC grinder. I can make anything. Two door jam bosses for the pins done

HA! Welcome to the half century club! I've been a card carrying member for 7 months. Happy Birthday Derek! Make sure to stay active now that you are officially an old man... and maybe a geritol in the morning?

Any chance that you would start a thread on this project?

I could but not sure where to post it. We haven't started yet, he's finishing up the wiring in his 62 ford pick up and the final stuff on a 36 Chrysler. By the summer the build should start.

Re: 67 long box

Got it up on the cribs and it's a lot easier to work on the door wiring. Pass. side has P/L done and interior lights. The glove box from vintage air was a little tricky to find the way it goes in but all good.

Dam CNC hand grinder blew up last night. So I bought a new 4.5" with 6 axis, and locking trigger.

Window motors were from rockauto SKP SK742142 SKP SK742143 9 tooth 1991 chevy truck. The rubber boots were from Summit

Thanks for posting the details, I'm still debating whether I want to hand crank or not. I'm so used to it in my DD and I kinda like it... but...I have been known to change my mind.

If I was still a young 20-30 year old I would have been fine with cranks but now at 50 I want comfort
