Trucks at the Sea Galley cruise tonight

Tonight was the Thursday night Cruise night at Sea Galley in Union Gap that Kicks off the Vintiques Northwest Nationals rod run in Yakima every year. It may be the last Sea Galley cruise night because word is that the Sea Galley bulding is going to be torn down and there will be a Texas Roadhouse built there.

Anyhow there was an oveflowing lot full of nifty cars and trucks with some that you might only see once a year.

First up a Tan 54 3100 that I don't remember seeing before.

77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

One more of the 54 from the rear and then OH Look, this truck looks familar.

All the way from across the river in Famous for it's hops and Bale Breaker Beer Moxee WA was our own Nvrdone's Nvrdone. i got in a couple of photos and was zooming in on his plate when guess who walks up but the man himself. First time we had met in person and we got to do a bit of visiting. He's finding reasons to drive the truck a lot more often than excuses not to too.

Re: Trucks at the Sea Galley cruise tonight

Moving on down past the row of not chebby trucks I found a 52/53 bomb lowrider in the making.

The side shot of it is #001 meaning that I have hit what I believe is 80,000 photos taken with this camera.

The crowd there was the biggestI had seen going to this event. Temps were in the 80's and it had been pretty well advertised and there were a bunch of spectators and they were a challenge to get clear shots around.

The 38 I think with the Joe's grinding signs on the doors represents a long time auto machine shop in town that was a go to for all of us for as long as I can remember that is now closed and there is some big building being built there. It was a little hole in the wall shop where you took your engine parts and got pretty decent machine work .

I don't remember the orange and white stepside but as I said before a lot of rigs you don't see at other times show up for this one as while it does have a start time and and end time it is also a come and go when you want to event with no pressure to stay the whole event.

Two more AD trucks, I don't remember the rootbeer brown I think one but the gray long bed belongs to a guy who is pretty active car wise.

Re: Trucks at the Sea Galley cruise tonight

Here's my Smugmug album for the event. I skipped late models that you can still see down on Auto row in most towns and skipped some rigs that I have taken a bunch of photos in the past. Some rigs had rolled out while I was walking around and I didn't catch them. https://robertdavison.smugmug.com/Cr...Galley-8-3-23/

Re: Trucks at the Sea Galley cruise tonight

that red task force looks great. I would finish the exhaust out to the rear to avoid the oxidation of all that hard work undee there. wel, unless the owner doesn't plan to put a floor in the bed.

Re: Trucks at the Sea Galley cruise tonight

The way it is set up you can't run exhaust over the axle. My experience says that after he does put the bed in it there is a real good chance that the exhaust will get run out to the sides if he drives it much. The paint on that truck is tricky, it changes from copper to red depending on the light. Today it looked cloudy but by the time I saw it i was pretty well bagged out and headed for a place to sit down.

I'm loading the photos I took today on Smugmug now but only took 178 photos today when I usually take around 300 at this event.

Re: Trucks at the Sea Galley cruise tonight

Two photos of the copper aka red in some light TF Full photo credits to Shaun Kirk a local car guy who takes some great photos.

Her is the link to my Smug album of the photos I took at the show Saturday. My knees started complaining too loud and I caved in pretty early. https://robertdavison.smugmug.com/20...st-Nationals-/
