Anyone recognize these heads?

I’ve looked around the internet for an ID of these heads based on the end casting. I’ll pull the valve covers off and get the numbers but thought I’d ask based on the pics. Motor came out of a ‘72 C10 but may not be original. Block is a 1969 4-Bolt that was decked removing the block stamping. Who knows where the heads came from.

I looked at that chart. None really match.

Re: Anyone recognize these heads?

There are a couple of casting numbers, that are associated with that casting shape. 598,993,997,487. Most likely early 70's-ish. You're going to have to check the actual casting numbers to know for sure.

These are the sybols,as stated above by Ground63, there are many casting numbers associated with that symbol. Casting number under valve cover will reveal your stats. Check it here: http://www.castingnumbers.info/site/search/

Re: Anyone recognize these heads?

The accessory bolt holes are drilled and tapped, so the heads are 69 or later.

Looks like "K" or "L" from the examples in the link above.

Re: Anyone recognize these heads?

Send pics of the casting numbers under the valve covers. Its the only way to know for sure and also then you have to measure the actual valves as most heads may have been upgraded to bigger valves. Casting numbers can be researched and other specs like chamber size and runner volumes are known. The Chevrolet By The Numbers books are a good resource also.

not necessarily. I've seen people drill and tap them to use more modern accessories
