Exclamation movie car - convertible - To Catch a Thief

So, watching an old film with the family, 'to catch a thief' with Cary Grant & Grace Kelly... and I was wondering what the convertible was... that the Grace Kelly character was driving.

This of course means off to the movie car database...

http://www.imcdb.org/vehicle_13886-S...-Mk1-1953.html

then to the search engines for details, The Sunbeam Mk 1...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunbeam_Alpine

then I found photos of a similar one with same colors, etc.. :

anyway, neat-o car.

here I set, cruising the BB and watching "Duel". Kind of odd to see another movie reference while I was.

Here ya go Panel Deland : Duel

as of few years back, a stunt man had bought the semi truck they used in that movie... and had fixed it up. He had some of his movie magic buddies paint it up to look the same, but with new paint to protect it. There is article floating around about it somewhere.

article about the trucks used...

if yer geeky about things like that, like I am.

That was a weird movie. Kinda menacing when I saw it in my youth.
