So, do the Autometers come with sending units? if they don't can you use what you already have? And they are mechanical, right?

They do come with sending units and they can be had mech or elect.

Mine were all electric, but DID come with the needed sending units....excluding the speed-o-meter. The sender is seperate, because you may have a GM, Ford, or Dodge tranny.

What are the size's of the speedometer and tach area, do you know if autometer makes the cobalt in that size? I put the 2 3/8 in the four gauge that cross the bottom, looks great, so great that I have to do something with the speed/tach/fuel gauges

I am setting my guages now is there any trick to get the smaller ones as close to the bezel as possible for better angle viewing? I have removed the little ribs around the back of the holes. Is there anything else I can do?

Franky - YES. Excluding the speedo, they will come with the needed senders.
Cojnit - 'Dey ain't cheep. I have just over $600 in mine (all electric), all new parts.
Alemck - Speed & tach are 5", temp (center) is 3-3/8". And if memory serves me, you can get ALL the gauges in the sizes you need with the COBALT series.
76bonanza - I have seen a few guys actually remove the trim ring from the gauges and set it behind the factory lens. Other than that...I don't have any suggestions. (sorry)

I am draging this thread out again with a feew more questions

First, does the bezel and cluster tilt when mounted in dash looks like it mounts at a angle.

second, I got one of those pin conectors from the shack. Seems ok but when I pull the plugs apart it pulls the wires forward some and I have to reset them am I doing somthing wrong?

Does anyone know of a tach that can fit in the center hole of the without cutting plastic glass?? I have the Three Hole Cluster and want to have a tach. If not, do you know of a tach that can fit on my steering column (which id rather do) ---Andy

I checked the Autometer site & they showed the Cobalt speedo/tach available in 3 3/8 but I didn't see any 5" P/N's. They did list a 3 3/4" & 5" 'pedestal mount' tach.

Not Autometer, Stewart Warner. I like that the SW's are different than what everyone else has.

Has anyone had any luck finding any 3-3/8" Autometer gauges for the center hole lately? I want to run a 5" Speedo & 5" Tach, and would prefer a fuel level gauge in the 3-3/8" Hole. Just wondering if anyone has any advice on finding one, cause I'm sure not having much luck.

You need to search any autometer you can find in the 3 3/8 size then buy the rest to match. Autometer doesn't make them anymore.

Yeah... It's not easy to find anything in that size. Unless it's a tach or speedo, but that would leave an empty 5" hole. I'll keep looking. Or maybe i will leave the center hole blank and use it for some turn signal, high beam and brake light indicator setup
