61 GMC 1 week later

I wanted to share some pictures of the progress on my 61 I bought last Sunday. I pulled out some dents, buffed it, painted the wheels and grill and replaced the fuel filter. I finally got to drive it today and it runs great. I still have to find some mirrors and a few other parts. My total cost is Only $487 including $100 to register it. Tomorrow im going to lower the torsion bars and borrow some 5" rear drop springs from my 67 and see how it look.

Great progress! Love the wheels, I really do. What are your plans with the camper?

I like the wheels too. That is exactly how I have them on my all original '72 C-10.

Re: 61 GMC 1 week later

Thanks, the wheels are my favorite part too, I need to find some center caps to complete the look. I am going to leave the camper shell on for now, I like it and I am moving at the end of the month. After i get to my new place I will take it off and see what it looks like.
