Also how'd you deal with the rear drive shaft? did you stay with the 2 peice? Your rendition of the 4 door is sharp, I like the choice of colors. Iv'e though of doing that for over 20 years but adding step side fenders to the fleetside and running a wide dually rear and 1 ton stuff up front of course.
I started by pulling every thing out including the front crossmember putting the motor trans and transfer case in where all the shifters lined up and started putting the cross members in place. The drive shaft will be shorter because of the tranfercase.

No big deal, I was just in too much of a hurry. I get a ideal in my head and can't stop and think.

Re: 68 Four door build

Well today I pulled the 2011 Silverado around to the side of the shop and threw a battery in it and it fired right off and runs like a new truck should. Checking all the dates on it the truck was four months old when it was wrecked. Well I got busy on it todayand decided not to use any of the fire wall or floor , it's Pretty bad. I went and pulled every thing that was attached to the cab and took it off today. I will post some pictures when I get home.

Re: 68 Four door build

Well tonight after I got off from work I went straight to the garage and started making room to pull the Sub in,it was way too cold to work on it out side. Of corse I was by my self and it doesnt run any more so I figured I would use the battery and put it in gear to pull it in, that dont work so well when you have a shop full of dead batteries so I had to impravise.............

Re: 68 Four door build

that beast makes the shop look small. it was a little cold just a little under 50 you should fire up the heater on the pressure washer that might warm it up. or a can fire in the building not
