need help with hotrod choice, S-10 Blazer, or truck???

Well, I wanted a box style truck, and I have a '91, but the wife got it lol. I have a '95 Blazer, my in-laws Blazer threw a rod. It is a 4.3 auto car, so I have a chance to get it back, it was my old Blazer. I'm not sure on the weight of this Blazer, it is a 4dr. I have an engine in a cc midsize truck, weight is 4500lbs and I'm wondering what the Blazer may be. I have a 550hp engine that needs something better than a 4500lb brick.

I just purchased a 1995 S10 Blazer 4 door 4x4 and the weight on the title is 4071lbs. No where near what you want

Thanks, I found a 88 S-10 truck I'm looking into. I think they are around 3000lbs, give or take a few hundred, I think I remember hearing like 2700lbs but not clear on that. If your 4x4 is 4000lbs then mine is a little under but thats still way to heavy and not worth it, but it is a nice Blazer, but not worth the time and trouble for the swap I had in mind.

Little trick to get those trucks to hook, is turning down the pinion angle on the rear I am thinking turned down 5-6 degrees.
Saw one that was built that had done to it. It just squatted and took off. ran 11. second on street tires.

I had plans to do that, along with ladder bars.

Thanks for the tip BarryB, I will have to try that on mine.

My truck is kind of a tire roaster at the moment.
