Yep.... same deal here. My shop is a clusterf@#k too & it physically hurts crawling around on my knees or arse doing stuff under vehicles. A lift is on the 'must have' list now.

This weather lately has all but killed my desire to be out in a cold shop too. Ready for spring!

Me too. I can live without air but when I build the new shop it will have heat for sure.

I'm shooting all the trim & door panels this weekend. I'll work on re-installing all of it next week. He's made progress on the lean backs for the front seats but they're not done yet. Got my new tires mounted & balanced today.

All interior trim panels are the same color now. Dash has been dyed as well & is ready to be installed.

Came across an issue when I went to install the dash last week that put things on hold for a few days. It seems aftermarket 3.5" dash speakers were swapped in place by a previous owner. The tweeters were higher than the bottom of the original dash so the perforated holes were just cut out. It had a cheap dash cover so it wasn't obvious. When I went to put the dash in I realized the speakers wouldn't allow it to seat properly.

So I did some research & bought some parts... I have the correct dash speaker adapter brackets on the way. I'll use these to ensure the corners of the dash are supported properly & will flush mount some tweeters in an adapter plate. I purchased some kick panel speaker pods from board member Captkaos & will run some 6.5" mid-bass speakers in them. I also went ahead & purchased a new head unit that was satellite radio friendly & better matched the interior scheme (the previous receiver was silver face/bezel.... needed to be all black). I also got rear 6x9's for the cab corners & will be using bigblock73's speaker brackets once he gets his next batch in.

So I'll get the stereo receiver + dash speakers mounted & install the dash this weekend as I only want to put it in once to avoid scratching things up.

I did get the gauges all finished. I cleaned the individual gauge faces up & feel they look pretty decent (hell.... it looks brand new!). It's all OE appearing but w/a 7k tach set-up. I painted the internal housing & the back of the gauge surround panel bright white for better illumination while it was all apart as well as swapped in LED lighting. I purchased a new cluster lens from LMC along w/all new a/c vents.

Today, my buddy sent me a pic of the completed rear seat cushion. It looks very nice & matches the buckets well. He just has to complete the lean back next week (he's doing this on his days off from our 9-5 work). I'm still on the hunt for rear door panels as mine are scratched up more than I care for. I found some aftermarket units but would have to get all four doors (to match) so I will search for clean, used, OE rears a little longer before commiting.

I'm finishing up on a sectioned x-member for a board member while waiting for parts to arrive & then will return my focus to the interior assembly. I should have the inside buttoned up soon & will roll this thing outdoors for some decent pics.

Got my Acoustimat ABS hood liner today. Took longer than expected but a very nice product so it was worth waiting for. Got my side project (notched x-member) finish welded tonight. Some clean-up grinding & then on to the stereo stuff tomorrow night.

I'm ready to see the unbroken, new/OE, color matched dash in place!

Just the top & front LoL.... The rear can't really be seen so it was just buzzed w/a scotch-brite wheel. If the owner wants it smooth as well, he'll need to do that part. You can't see it so I usually leave it alone.

Cleaned up the shop last weekend & got back to work on interior stuff.

Got the dash 'adapter' brackets for mounting some stock speakers in the corners of the dash from Crutchfield. I tweaked them so a pair of tweeters from some JL Audio 6.5" separates could be installed. I just made small drop down brackets from 16ga. after plotting them out on cardboard. Cut them out, used the vise & a small body hammer for the shape, tacked them into place, & them a little rattle can action......

About the same time I got the dash speaker brackets, I also got the kick panel pods from Captkaos/73-87chevytruck.com/RodDoors. They fit pretty decent but needed some reinforcement IMO since they're just thin ABS plastic.

After plotting out where everything needed to be, I got all the mounting holes drilled. They supply double sided tape but I felt that wasn't good enough to hold a decent speaker up nor did it allow servicing. I used the existing holes in the kick panel for reference & drilled the mounting holes then cut the opening where the speaker trim fit the best (don't tell Porterbuilt but I just eye-balled this ).

Once the holes were all cut & cleaned up, I lined the kick panel & inner surface of the pods w/BoomMat. The matt more than doubled the weight & made them feel much more solid.

Then once all that was done, I rattle canned them, put them together, & plumbed the wiring for installation.....

I should get in my rear cab corner 6x9 brackets from bigblock73 early next week & will work on getting them installed. My buddy said he'll have the rear seat done as well by Mon-Tues so I'll prob get the remaining stereo items for completing the install.

I plan to route everything wire related & let the stereo shop make the connections for warranty related reasons. They know I'm a picky SOB after I reamed them over an amp install in my X-cop car stang years ago (But sir.... it's in the trunk. Nobody will even see that the amp board is not cut & installed square. Uhmm..... I freakin noticed. I paid for a square piece of wood, not a crooked cut & I want it plumb/level).

My buddy N2Billet dropped by to check out progress this week. While doing so, I noticed that my brake booster again had peeling paint which indicated the master must be swapped out. So that's on the list next this weekend....
