Question 383 stroker - manual or auto trans?

I would like some input from the forum on whether I should keep my TH-350 automatic transmission NP205 transfer case set-up for my 383 powered 1971 swb 4x4 chevy project build, or should I swap it out for a 4 speed granny transmission or a 5 speed custom build with my current NP205 transfer case? I already have the TH350 rebuilt and ready to go, but I am having second thoughts thinking a manual on the floor will be more fun.

Re: 383 stroker - manual or auto trans - torque arms?

I am also looking at adding some torque arms to my custom 71 4x4 frame. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
