I think I know but....

I'm pretty sure the answer is no to both my questions but here goes. Was the Cheyenne or Cheyenne Super package available on a 72 Burb or was Custom/Deluxe the highest trim level ? Was carpet available in a Burb because lots of Custom/Deluxes come with a rubber floor. I'm thinking if carpet was available from the factory it must have been a stand alone option.

Re: I think I know but....

I don't think those options were available on the Suburban, but I am not sure since I am more 67-68 focused.

I do know that the Custom Comfort option in 67-68 was a nicer interior, with padded side panels, and seat coverings but with a color matched rubber floor covering. Also with that option on the exterior, meant bright work on the sides, around the windshield, and grill openings.
(My Suburban came with a green rubber floor covering, but now has green carpet since no one makes the green rubber floor covering).

Re: I think I know but....

My '67 came with green rubber mats, as well, but only the rear remains. Seems like I remember seeing post '70 'Burbs with Cheyenne trim, but I could be wrong.

Re: I think I know but....

Here is the generic info packet from the GM Heritage Center archive.

It will show all of the available options for a '72 Suburban and how they combine.

Re: I think I know but....

Yes, I guess yours is the only Cheyenne Super known to exist. Your Burb is looking great Rob and you must be getting anxious to finish her off. How many years have you been working on the Burb?

Seems like I've been working on it forever, . I finally built a 24 x 28 garage to store and work on it in. I need to finish up a couple other projects and then I'll get back on it.
