How many people have used any of the brush or roll on do it your self bedliner sealers. Even though I am a step side I would like to protect my inside bed sides from getting so scratched up, it is still a workin truck. Which is the best, easiest, any help is good.

Hello from north MS.

Many on here will recommend a line x liner. I have a rhino liner and am very satisfied with it (five years now). Many have negative things to say about the roll on bedliners you do yourself. If you have a short bed, in addition to the stepside, it will not cost much to get a spray in liner. Several MS people on this board.

I have read a lot of good stuff about Herculiner. I plan on doing the same as you and do the insides of the stepbed since it will still have trucking responsibilities. Since I'm not close enough for the bed liner yet, I guess I'll be waiting to hear yours and others on how these home roll liners work out.

most of the doityerself jobs i've seen are poorly done and most have flaking issues or fading issues// keep in mind that if you decide to sell that it will reduce the resale value of a collectible vehicle for someone wanting to restore it

My brother went the roll on liner route in his '02 Dakota. Looks "O.K." not as even as a spray in but it seems to be holding up well. I think the key, as it is with most projects, is to be sure you follow the directions especially when it comes to the prep work.

If you do not sand and clean well it will not bond correctly and it will flake. There is a
chemical that softens and removes the lining so I do not think it would lower the value that much.

If you want one that will last and is durable, you'll have to spend the $$ and run with one of the national chain installations (Rhino, Line-X, etc).
The DIY versions just don't hold up to daily use.

I'm gettin a Line-X sprayed in Thurs. or Fri. I'll let you know how it is. Everyone I know that has them likes them. It is a little pricey, the quotes I got are; $399 for black under the rails, +$50 more to go over the rails, +$250 more for color other than black. I was gonna go colored under the rail but they said they couldn't match the color & if they did it would fade to white in no time. So I decided to just go with the black. The cool part is my mom & dad got me a $200 gift cert. last X-mas so it's only gonna cost me $199

I also have a roll on Rustoleum liner for my '86

I haven't put it on yet. Good luck to you.

We used flex liner in my truck, I am unsure if it is a Canadian only product or not. Looks good and is holding up well.

What about the bedliner that Eastwood sells, they have always had a good name.
