Re: In need of a pair

I have heard the aftermarket glass is different.

So, it is thicker than the OEM?

Also, are you looking for 68-72 glass (the one with the hole for the locking lever)?

67 doesn't have a hole in the glass.

Re: In need of a pair

They do have different thicknesses of setting tape.

I can understand wanting to use the OEM at this point.

GMCPaul's also has setting tape.

Glass Setting Tape
20077682 Professional weatherstrip glass setting tape. This is the material for installing vent window glass into metal frame and for installing door glass into the lower door sash metal channel that it rides on. This kit includes 2- 30" pieces that are 1" wide. Available in 3 different thickness, 1/16", 3/64", or 3/32" thick. Select thickness desired after adding to cart.
Manufactured by Precision $14.00

I have the tape, and thickness isn't the issue, the glass is bigger than the original glass I removed from the frames by an 1/8 inch.
So who sell correct size new glass then?

I thought that might have been what you were referring to.

I have never heard of that.

It's normally the thickness issue.

Maybe someone knows of a Good vendor or has OEM good glass for you.

I will look through my stash of doors for what I have.

If still in need or looking, we have had the below pictured GM NOS 68-72 clear vent wing glass set stashed away a long time for that deserving build, the pair is pulled out and ready to pack/ship. ***Edit 02/18/24*** We just listed this NOS vent wing glass in the below linked parts board f/s thread.
