Re: My 63 SWB BBW Build Frank

thanks for bringing you build to my attention. I am really leaning towards CPP since I can get it all local. Place up the road carries pretty much everything.

Maybe Charlie Brown will be accepting of the parts and my curse thus far can be lifted. Great build and thank you for documenting it so well.

Oh and adorable kiddo BTW.

Got the front sheet metal hung this weekend... still need to bolt up grill and front trim.

Here's a pic before Frank was loaded up this morning, off to the exhaust shop!

Re: My 63 SWB BBW Build Frank

are you installing a tilt steering column? If so, can you share the details? I have a 62 and am wanting to do a tilt with column shift. Any guidance is appreciated!

Thanks guys!!

Yesterday was the first time I took Frank out into the public since I started the project.. it was nice bringing Frank out even if it was only a trailer ride to the exhaust shop lmao

I should be finishing Frank up over the next two or three weeks and hoping to take him to some local shows.

Thanks

I'll try and get up under Frank this weekend but I ran dual 2" exhaust with turbo mufflers outside the frame rails and exit to the front of the rear wheel wells. All tubing and mufflers do not hang below frame rails.

Here's a pic of the rear wheel well where the passenger side exits.

Re: My 63 SWB BBW Build Frank

Well Frank is pretty much completed.. for now, but I still have a few small things to finish up.

Got all under-hood mechanical buttoned up..

and finished my airbags, but still need to add a door to cover setup that matches the rest of the bed.

Wow, looks great!

A lot of attention to detail in the engine bay and air set-up!

What's your plans for paint?

Thanks.. other than a little more body panel detailing (color sanding/buffing/waxing/sealing), the paint and body are done.. I built this truck as a patina build.
