Skip the rag joint and go with a Jeep XJ shaft to eliminate the rag joint IMO.

you can get the xj shaft for $10-15. best mod ever

the xj shaft gives you nice ujoints on both ends, for dirt cheap. eliminates the slack of the rubber disc.
