Question Rear Sway bar ?s

Ok I have a rear sway bar on my blazer, but it's mounted to the under side of the trailing arms. too low hits stuff. Can I mount it to the top instead? Any one done this? Any ideas? Also do you think a rear sway bars makes that much difference with the panhard bar and all?

GM did not produce rear sway bars, so you have an aftermarket bar, I have one on my 68 C20. I know this truck corners a lot flatter that an older one of mine without one, but I think it did not have a front bar. Mine will chatter the rear end on ueven hard corners.

I've got a bar like yours probably under my C20, it sure makes the thing grab like all heck, you may slide in the cab but the truck dont roll much or let go aroudn most turns. With flipping it you'd probably have to make some CUSTOM brackets and some other fun fab work, i dont have any metalworking tools so i cant say how bad it'd be. Good luck

If you sit it on top of your trailing arms, you'll probably have drive shaft clearance problems. I put a Camaro bar on my C10. haven't had it on the road yet, but no problem at all when i installed it.

Thanks. How is that Camaro sway bar set-up? Maybe a custom bent bar to clear the drive line?

I reversed the Hellwig bar and mounted it behind the axle, nothing binds but it's been on so long I can't remember how much difference it makes. Try looking for a late model truck rear sway bar and make that fit.
