Who has the longest SPID? (Or shortest?)

I did a search to see if we’ve ever done a SPID comparison and no luck. I think it’d be fun to see the tag with the most ink. My ‘68, unfortunately would probably win the grand prize for the most blank spaces...

Post em up!

might try here, 826 posts (so far) to browse thru to see who has the most (or least) options. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=282003

Re: Who has the longest SPID? (Or shortest?)

My personal favourite is ghalperin's for shortest SPID. Since the only thing listed is a delete it in fact has less than zero options.

Wow! That’s the stuff I was talking about. That’s amazing- I’ll post mine but it actually has a couple items so I lose to ghalperin..

Now that's funny. Have never seen that one before. I guess that would be the "Base-ment" model...
4spwgn, no worries, hope you enjoy the thread.

Re: Who has the longest SPID? (Or shortest?)

The question I would have about that SPID, though I don't doubt its authenticity, is "What is a BASE COLOR?". The color is usually listed on the SPID, as far as I have ever seen...and the upholstery color, too.

At the top, slightly right of center it has a paint code. I’m used to seeing wheelbase in that location usually?

Post #4 SPID is a 67 and paint was on the top row as depicted in that year only in this era. Moved down to the RPO list with w/b ending up on the top line in 68.

I picked up this 1967 in January. Pretty impressive pedigree.

Where is that ever-elusive SPID that has two stickers?

My ‘68 suburban SPID. Pretty plain but I guess it’s not a single delete only option truck. 🤓
2 wheel drive c10, I believe was a 307/3ott.

Here's a two label truck, but it's a square body. 1978 Big 10. The last entry on the left column reads "this truck has two labels".

And then there’s only one item on the second label- probably could’ve left off the “two labels” line and not needed it?

Ya think? That makes too much sense, though.

That's a really goodie-box with all those options. I'd like to know what the sticker price was. Probably $7-$8k. A fully loaded '71 Malibu convertible went for $5500 at one dealer I worked for. It had everything but a big block. White/white/white, it was absolutely gorgeous. Sport stripes and bumper guards, though...

I bought this truck from the original owner in my hometown. He told me that he and his wife shopped all day around Northwest AL and ended up with this one. He still remembers paying $5,800 for it.

My SPID is a whole lot to do with nothing. Started off as an Army pickup in Arkansas. I purchased it sitting in a field from the estate of the base commander.

Wow - A Dual “Magnetic Plug Unit” truck!
That’s a very interesting one 6t7. Came with spark plugs, windshield wiper blade, identity plate.
We could come up with a ratio of number of options per msrp dollar that this one would probably clean up on.
Thanks for posting it.

I remember seeing a C60 that had a whole pile of accessories and options. Never saw any others like that one, though. They're usually pretty stripped.
