Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!

If you're running stock, aftermarket, or any other kind of steel rim, toss up some pictures! Please try and note what kind of rim, tire and suspension setup you've got too!

I'll start

Hoping to strip and repaint the hub caps and rims, then toss on some new meats too. What is a good size for tires?

I think the rims are 16" x 8", but I could be mistaken on the width. Tires are 265/70R16. I actually had to hunt these down after selling the ones that were on the truck originally. Stock suspension.

Where do you buy these either new or used. Iam looking for the original 6 lug steel wheels to put back on my truck. This is a great posts. I have wanted to put steel wheels back on but didn't know where to look for advice. This is pretty much the look I am after.

If im not mistaken those are Highlander wheel covers. They were also put on the Monte Carlo's too of the same year. They are not easy to come by so hold on to them. Is your truck a highlander? Does it say Special Promotional on the SPID (sticker inside the glove box if you don't already know)?

I bought those wheels on ebay for $80.00. They were in a odd ball category somewhere as I recall (not vintage truck parts etc). Anyway I recognized them to be what I wanted and when I got them home I had them powder coated. I've heard some say that military Blazers and trucks had these type wheels. I don't know for sure.

Those are s-10 caps( 80's aluminum ) not c-10 caps, check brendonak white 67 for the "stock" style caps.

Re: Whose on Steelies? Post 'em up!

Mine are Cragar Nomad 2's
Tires are Cooper Cobra GT's
Suspension is stock
Front 15x8 with 255/60/15
Rear 15x10 with 295/50/15

I like the old school stuff but not necessarily stock. Just what I had in high school!

I was thinking about getting the same set for my 77' Chevy C10! Do the front wheels have 3 3/4 backspacing? Is the second pic the front wheel and how well did it fit?
