Re: 62 Stock front shocks

I found a thread that lists a couple but doesn't have the measurement. But you can probably extrapolate the info.

Re: 62 Stock front shocks

Take a measurement at ride height add at least 3" then -3" unless you're going long travel then Jack it up for full droop. If anyone has messed with torsion bars that just adds to fun

My truck has a 77 front clip with 2 inch drop coils so I can not do this to find out the stock spring height.

Re: 62 Stock front shocks

RockAuto says:
Front:
Shock Stroke 5.11 IN
Body Diameter 41.40
Fully Open Length 14.64 IN
Type Vintage Gas Charged
Alternate/OEM Part Number(s): 88946138

Rear:
Shock Stroke 10.61 IN
Body Diameter 41.40
Fully Open Length 25.54 IN
Type Vintage Gas Charged
Alternate/OEM Part Number(s): 88946176

Length - stroke = collapsed length
