WOW!!!!! I am pretty sure that is the 1st original blue steering wheel that I have ever seen that does not have cracks in it. Although one pic looks like it does have a crack.

Re: WOW........2023 original miles

If I owned this truck and had to sell something due to space reasons, I could see letting this one go, cause I'd be scared to drive it.

I'd like to have it, trailer it to car shows, drive it off the trailer and back on only. (If I only had some extra money). I think it is worth every bit of his starting price.

I talked to the owner and he said- It has been appraised for $19,500 back in 2010. Values on these old trucks have gone up since then, though.

Agreed... that truck is too nice...owning such an original, low mileage specimen would be more stress than fun to me.. . but I'm sure glad there are some curators out there, because I love to see trucks like that!

Re: WOW........2023 original miles

How do you put a price on a time capsule like this? I'm thinking $15K is pretty cheap.
Yep, it's not a BB super but you really think the starting bid would be that low if it was? Just try building one close to this original for $15K. Good luck just finding rust free original sheetmetal. I want it.

Oh yeah, I would love to see the rest of his collection.

You mean blue steering wheels didn't come new already cracked?

Wow, I wonder what the story was? Grandpa ordered it then went the hospital 2 months later and never came home? Kids forgot about it?

Too bad its not a 4x4. It is sporting some of the best colors imo.

Yeah true. That is a show piece, no way you could drive it because if you did you'd have a 3500 dollar truck in about a year

But man what a year it would be! Just think of the stories you could tell the young-guns when your older & grayer (or just old & gray) .

Re: WOW........2023 original miles

This truck has never been up for sale publicly. I bought it from the family before they ever listed it for sale anywhere. I have talked about the mileage on this truck a few months ago here (on '67-'72) when the topic of low-mileage vehicles came up.

Ah...that's where I saw it! I knew I had seen it before, just thought it was for sale as well. Good luck.

Re: WOW........2023 original miles

If I had the cash I'd buy it in a second! As for driving it? I probably wouldn't trust it. Drive a super low mileage vehicle and it starts falling apart. I may drive it around the fairgrounds but not on the street. Nevermind a fenderbender, what about a ruptured hose? If I had to replace a part I'd want NOS for sure and I'm not sure how many NOS upper rad hoses are out there. This one should go to another collection for sure.

Cool to see you are a board member. I love this truck and would love to own it. Did you put any of the 2023 miles on it? What was it like driving it?

Good luck with the sale. Like said before you must have a super collection if you're willing to let this one go. Seems like this one should go back to GM in museum or something
