Re: Newly purchased 72 on 73-87 frame

Just curious … what do you suppose would have been the reason for that body/frame swap?

Not much difference that I am aware of between a 1972 and a 1973-80 K axles/brakes/transfer case etc. Does it have the NP205?

I suppose the reason being the person couldn't find a affordable factory swb 4x4 or around where I live the frames are usually rusty where I live I have a 684x4 frame swb thst needs rust repair and a 72 lwb 4x4 frame that also has rust issues the truck has Dana 44 front axle 12 bolt rear with a 350/350 trans and a np203
