Re: Another trip to pick-a- part

Went to both Berrie's U Pull it and Pull A Part looking for a set or rally wheels this week, well better luck next time. I did find a set of gauges that seem to be okay for 30.00

Re: Another trip to pick-a- part

I saw lots of rally wheels . going back next week for more. hope I can make these seats work in my 70. I think they came out of a Saturn. I will get them recovered if they fit

It looks like a pretty good score ,ours are always picked clean but they are also too far away from me to go very often.

Cool find. Next time you go any chance you could take a few pics? Be interesting to see what is in the yard.

Re: Another trip to pick-a- part

I could do that but its mostly late model stuff. oldest truck was a late 80s suburban. found a pile of rally wheels . looked like 3 or 4 different sizes

Re: Another trip to pick-a- part

Ah, same as up here. I wondered, since at a pic a part in Las Vegas I saw a few rather complete 67-72s and even a 71-74 Javelin with a really nice body. Couldnt beileve it ended up there

Also might look out for 94-6 impala Ss wheels. They're 5x5 17s and look pretty good. I'm using them as roller wheels so i don't mess up the good ones. Pretty good lookin wheel considering they're factory.

Re: Another trip to pick-a- part

I just picked up a front sway bar off of an 80's 3+3 dually. Beefy at 1 1/4", half price was $12. Going in my 68 when I do the disk brake conversion.

That's a killer price. Should help it cut the corners too

Re: Another trip to pick-a- part

this trip did not turn out as good as the last one. somebody beat me to all the rally wheels. did find some bases for my bucket seats out of a van. I will try their other location this weekend. there was 1 71 Cheyenne but it had been picked over pretty good not anything I needed .

Re: Another trip to pick-a- part

Went to te one on wallisville on Thursday. They had a 71 long bed but it was in pretty rough shape. Had a lot of parts on it though. I got a serpentine system with a fan clutch and fan blade for like $95 bucks though. Even got the A/c delete pulley. Pretty good deal. Half off until Sunday.

that 71 looks like it had 6 coats of different color paint. every body panel was beat up. it was so close to the truck behind it I cold not see the tailgate. it did still have all the suspension good for a 5 lug conversion.
