Kevin,

I am using a PRC 6 bolt head (237cc). I am told the early ones (which mine were/are) had cracking issues. They revised them a little adding more material in the weak area. So I know have one old and one new head. I was told the CNC program is exactly the same.

Motor is in and was running with the new 259/274 .663/.630 hyd roller cam. Feels strong as ever even with the gear change (4.56 to 3.90).

I decided to take on the fun job of rewiring the truck with a 21 circuit EZ Wiring harness. Other than putting the gauges back in and installing the widebands and hooking up the starter solenoid; it is ready to run again.

First outing will be April 19 for a grudge fest in Sacramento. I am planing on attending all 7 grudges this year (one a month through October).

Re: Out it comes again

I was on the fence about rewiring my truck until I realized its 50 years old this year, I will be doing the same thing except I plan to use a Ron Francis Wiring kit instead. By the way Super did you weigh the front end of your truck before switching to the Mustang II suspension?

Have fun racing this year!

Re: Out it comes again

Dan,

The wiring wasnt all that bad. Just lay the harness out first, to get things where you want if they are in the wrong spot. I broke it in to4 spools of wire:
Engine bay
In Cab
Don't know, might not keep
Rear

I weighed all the individual front components, IE Spindle, Rotor, Caliper etc. That swap shaved near 100lbs.

Re: Out it comes again

Well they are sitting in my garage cabinet waiting for me to buy a different shortblock. So there is a good chance, don't know when. It won't be this season that is for sure.
