Bed Lids$$$$$

Holly Crap!

i emailed a Gaylord dealer for a 67 hard cover:

Hi. I do have the Gaylord Lid for your truck $1100. It comes with a black gel coat finish. I can have it here in a day or 2. Let me know what I can do.
Thanks:

Thats $1100 plus tax! Dam!!

What do you guys use for covers? I have seen some of you with
home made steel lummi ones! Anybody out there with a custom one.

Cheers

That's the reason I decided to get a soft cover. $205 from Summit.

You might want to try a "search" of the forum. I know at one time that there were several guys around the Dallas/Ft. Worth area that were trying to get 5 or 6 at a time. Seems like they were somewhere around $600 by getting them several at a time.

Just a thought,

Dean

I have heard good and bad things about these covers ( http://www.checkerpro.com )on this board. I went to my buddies body mans house the other day and he has 5 of these trucks that are absolutely awesome in which one of them has a checker pro cover on it that looks great, so I asked him about it and he loves it. and coming from this guy that means something. he is VERY picky and VERY outspoken.

Actually they were less than 500 shipped to dallas but we never got 3 people in on the deal... They were for the Check Mate hard covers mentioned above.

FirstGen, I knew I could count on you! As soon as I posted my reply I noticed that the search option was missing again. I am glad you chimed in.

I have had a Checkmate for years(8) and I am still pleased with it. I don't know if they still offer quick release front mounts, but would get them if you will be taking the top of often. My avatar shows it up with enough clearance for a aircompressor. Enjoy, Steve

I live in Ontario and would be interested in getting in on a LWB 8' cover deal with you. Keep me posted if enough interest is garnered.
