1969 Chevy k5 Factory with no top??

Ordered with no top? Bed rails aren’t drilled and front doors have no side glass? Door panels aren’t made for window regulator either? Doors have fiberglass cap over opening for glass channel.. any idea how many and for what purposes these were ordered like this.

That was the base, bare bones model...6cyl....3 speed on the column was standard too
even a passenger seat and rear seat was an option at first
of course most people wanted tops and seats so I suppose they equipped most of them that way...there are probably a few left

I'd like to see pics of it. Here's a couple of links talking about them...

My 72 had no rear seat originally. Literally every option but the rear seat. Highlander, cst, etc. Has the holes for the spare mount behind the seat. It’s crazy what people ordered back then.

My 2wd didn't have a rear seat and the spare behind the front seat also. It was odd, it had air, sport seats, radio delete and 4 spd. I converted it to a top delete for the summer.
