Paint and Body work needed in California
I searched the forums and could find any answers. I'm looking for a good shop to either replace several rusted sections or possibly the whole cab on my 69 K10 stepside. A tree fell on the passenger side of the cab 40 yrs ago. My dad bought the truck like that 35 yrs ago and did what he could quickly to just get it going as a work truck then painted it in our garage. So now its rusted through both roof panels on passenger side, rust on the drivers side roof, rockers and outer door skins. Are there any good shops within a 5 hr drive of San Luis Obispo CA? Not looking for show quality, but someone that knows how to repair these old trucks.

That's a tough one. I'm in northern Kalif and all the shops around here just want insurance work. Just want a fast buck. I need a painter.

Sounds like you need a find a cab first. If it's as bad as you say it's toast. As far as matching numbers go I've heard they just transfer the whole door pillar on to the new cab but don't quote me on that.
