i looked in the back of rod&custom mag.and seen a adv.for a shoulder harness seatbelt that would definitly work w/our trucks. best of all the price!! $45 bucks per side! thats a phenominal price considering that our places are asking upwards to 139.00 for just one side!got a e-mail back from them and he said the retractor measures 2 3/4"-4 1/4" which would fit between the seat mounting bolt and the door sill plate. what you guy's think?

Try www.Julianos.com I think they are the same seat belts. Three point shoulder harness fit real nice and no holes to drill.89.95.They are not as beefy as oem stuff, however, I love them.

Funny you should ask I just installed a set yesterday. They are excellent. Southern Rods is a very cool place. Last year my wife and I drove up there to pick up one of their heat and A/C units and I saw the seat belts on display. I looked them over good and they looked great. They even come with some bolts and lock washers.

By the way they gave me the wrong A/C compressor mount with the kit because I told them I thought I had a long waterpump. I called and even though I had already painted the bracket they took it back. Really nice place and nice people.

I wonder how these look and stack up aginst the ones from a chevy s10. I have heard some of the s10s mount up pretty well (square body models?).

The women I know are usually larger and unfortunately these don't extend out long enough for them, so I may buy the aftermarket ones. I'll measure my belts later today and post the length for a comparison.

I measured approx. 120" of webbing total. I don't know if this will help or hinder. SouthernRod belts say they're 103", soo...? I may buy one of their belts and compare.

Just went to Julianos and they show a diagram of the length of webbing and it's 140"; My S-10 belts are only 120" measured this way, so I guess I should buy a set.

Brad those don't look like the belts Southern Rods sells. Maybe it's a model I didn't see while I was there.

Lancer my '69 already had the threaded hole in the "B" pillar for a shoulder harness. It was just plugged with a push in plastic piece.

Those are how S-10 belts mount in original hole. I had to shim up the driver side due to my gas tank still in cab and the angle of the floor at that spot.

those are definitely NOT them the ones at www.southernrods.com have only one end that is retractable the other end of the shoulder harness loops back down to the floor and attaches to the same mounting spot as the retractor(which is actually pretty cool, 'cause the retractor has a mounting tab that can be mounted to the seat bracket floor bolt).go to www.southernrods.com look under seatbelts(duuhhh!).

buxman, yes they have the bolt for the shoulder part of the set up and I picked up some for the floor part at the salvage yard.

There is a place in California (I think) called GEM (might be G.E.M.) that sells 3 pt belts at a reasonable price. I used a pair in my unmentionable project a few years ago.
