has anyone used MTX 6.5 speakers and if so what do you think about them? Lead me to any threads that might already cover these if you know of any.

Don't know but will see if we can get this move to the audio section - you'll have better luck there.

I have a friend that has them in a silverado factory sizes they sound really good

As a stock replacement speaker, they aren't too bad, but no my first choice. Look at Boston Accoustics for something a little better.

Another $.02, I went with kicker's 6.5 seperates, bad ass.

They Sound great, Not cheap though.

I typicaly look into Stillwaters Kicker first, though the specs are not the best in the world, and not a perfect sound, but they work great for my taste...
