Talking '87 3+3 "project Hotrod Hauler"

Here's my latest project to add to the list of stuff I need to work on...haha!
A lowered '87 3+3....
Has a carbed 454, th400....etc. Not many optins, A/C is gone, manual windows/locks, cruise not hooked up, etc...all the stuff I like in a truck...less stuff to go wrong...
It ran crappy, as it had a Race Demon carb on it....so I took that off and swapped the Edelbrock 800 of the Charger onto it and runs WAY smoother.
Nice tires and Alcoas that need polished, hidden hitch in bed and groovy running boards that are gonna hit the scrap pile soon enough...

Pressure washed all the moss off, but the paint is pretty sad. Faded, clearcoat peeling, etc. So I'll probably paint it HotRod Flatz with a metalflake roof and flames.... Something different....as I'll be hauling alot of old cars and hotrods with her.

A tired warrior of the 1980s in a world of low profile tires, front wheel drive, and plastic bumpers, where people stay in their houses until snowplows move the offending substance from their paths, too helpless to travel without AAA and chains and salt, clearing their windows with longhandled brushes while gently stepping around in the snow trying to stay nice and dry.

Nice. Welcome to the Brotherhood.

I like the idea of the flat w/ the metalflake roof. It'd be cool to see on a rig like that.

You may also want to pop into www.duallyscene.com ...although it's been a little slow over there lately.

Re: '87 3+3 "project Hotrod Hauler"

Busy weekend...got her running good, cleaned up the interior and buffed the paint out....painted the headlight bezels....the red was just ugly...
The paint is pretty bad....looks like a quickie with very little prep done and shot over the OG paint with no primer...
I also rewired the trailer plug and installed a brake controller for my trailer....

Need to get a dash pad and some extra gauges....
