My 1/4 tank road trip a "Silly adventure"

First I will ask that you enjoy some music while you view my post it may be a little lengthy. After you view this I invite EVERYONE to show some similar pics of your trip. And no I have not been sampling The Lords forbidden lettuce, I just like SRV.

Re: My 1/4 tank road trip a "Silly adventure"

The dude moving the double wide scared the freakin heck out of me. I was waiting to turn left and this massive diesel chugging monstricty could not wait to take a right turn. He squeezed down the side of my truck. I had nowhere to go. I think that sob was getting his kicks when I peered up at his extended mirrors barely cleared the top of my cab.

Speed limit no smile, but happy. I also introduced my old girl to her uncle (above). I had hoped the fog lifted on my way home. Theres some huge swan down here in the valley. Anyway this concludes my silly adventure.

Real good. My truck actually got wet from all the dew (sorry Andy, the natural kind). My truck really has not seen moisture since I fixed her up. I made a free right turn on the way back and realized I'd best put the foot into it. The cars behind me were coming up quick. I got to about 40mph and mashed the old big block. The tires broke so I let up. I put it back down because they were still gaining on me. They broke again so I kept the pedal down. I wactched in my mirror as I tatoo'd the road in rubber and pulled away. Yep it did feel good!

Re: My 1/4 tank road trip a "Silly adventure"

I love little trips for no reasons!
GREAT choice of misic too... SRV is still the best IMO when it comes to texas blues.
Don't be afraid to get her wet, and to lay some rubber... you built it to have fun in... it already has a little damage to it, so take it out and drive the wheels off! Just take it home, clean it up real good, and it'll be ready for your next misadventure!
Oh... and where's the Mtn dew man?
If those are all from your cell phone... then WOW.. what kinda phone is it? I'm due for a new one here this summer and I am open for recomendations!

Here one for you and one for me. Hope you don't mind diet. Had I known you were coming I'd bought some leaded dew too. Phone is a nokia, 6555. It's a couple years old. Nothing fancy. Just have to remember to wipe my fingerprints off the lense before i take pics.

Re: My 1/4 tank road trip a "Silly adventure"

Looks like a cool little trip. Maybe the rest of us should post 1/4 tank road trips; that way other members can see what our local scenery is like. Of course I have a huge dealer installed 45 gallon tank so I could really see some places on a 1/4 tank.

Bingo! I'd like nothing more than to see everyone add their post. It don't matter how much gas you used, just how much you enjoyed your drive

Thanks. I can't hardly imagine what music would sound like today if SRV was still around.

Re: My 1/4 tank road trip a "Silly adventure"

As soon as I get my burb legal I will document an inaugural road trip post. We dont have any scenery that comes close to what you all have in WA but I think I can come up with some good pics. Hopefully half the members can start posting trips now and the other half can when they get thawed out from all this chilly weather.

Re: My 1/4 tank road trip a "Silly adventure"

I didn't click on the youtube pic before or read it, so I didn't realize it was Stevie playing Little wing. The morning radio show I listen to every morning plays Little wing before the show starts. You can tell the days that they are aeren't ready to go on air because they will play the whole 8 minute version.

I grew up several miles from Hendrix grew up. I'm a fan too. I cant compare them. Both were awsome.
