Fog Lights on 2004HD

I just got a 2004 Chevy 2500HD w/o fog lights. I got a line on front bumper and fascia with fog lights. I know I need a dash switch.

Does anyone know if these trucks are pre-wired for fog lights?

My 2000 Silverado was pre-wired when we put fog lights in it, just wondering if GM did the same on my 2004.

Re: Fog Lights on 2004HD

I installed a factory kit on my 2000. It was all plug and play, however mine wouldn't work. It said in the instructions that I may have to go to a dealer to have the computer flashed for them to work. I had to pay $75 to get the damn things to turn on! Maybe you'll get lucky again on your '04 as you did with your 00.

We had to get it programmed at the dealer too. No big deal, I guess. Just wondering if my 2004 has the wiring like the 2000 did.

I installed my lights on my 2004 awhile ago. It was plug and play. I didn't have to go have it programmed.

Mine has the lights and dash switch, but no wire harness. Where would be a good place to get harness?
