Re: 1953 Burb build

Yes it is. Rad Rides by Troy built an AD truck with LS and the Compressor was in the stock location. Didn't have the opportunity to ask them what chassis they had or what mount they used. I don't plan to hack my inner fenders either.

Thanks for the lead!

What front end are you using? If it is mustangii I could not find away around it. If it is a camaro clip there is a bracket that will work mounting low. I have one not being used

Re: 1953 Burb build

That is why I am almost set of not having AC at all in mine. We only need it 2 months a year up here anyways. I'll probably go with the stock heater and maybe a swamp cooler.

Iceburgh, that is looking awesome. You've got me excited to get mine that far.

life gets in the way some time, family first though

do add the flow reducer to the gm pump before you button everything up
i had twitchy steering and ended up with a leaky rack before i added the flow reducer

I used a kit from speedway that uses shims. I think it is the same result. Drops the pressure to 850 lbs

Homemade coil pack covers.

Re: 1953 Burb build

Floor braces welded in places ( added a 3rd up front) so the bolt heads wont get in the way

Re: 1953 Burb build

New floor cut and put in place...on top of flange. Had to add 3/4" strips front, back and all cross members

(covered in tape to protect)

Re: 1953 Burb build

Rear door jambs, side door jambs and firewall in primer.
Paint tomorrow maybe . Then I can put the body on the frame to finish all other body work

Few areas need a little work but not bad.

Off to Reno on Monday for vacation and Hot August Nights car show

Re: 1953 Burb build

All the exhaust came from Summit. I don't have a local speed shop, they closed the doors about 2 years ago . Summit can get me parts in a day,

Color Scheme is going to be white and silver with some red and black in it. I painted my FIL truck white and silver due to the fact that is what we had in the shop at the time. People love and it just has a clean look to it.

Never been to Reno just to hang out always had to work, so looking forward to it. They get about 6000 cars so should be a blast

FIL truck... we built this from the scrap yard and a few extras. Might be $8k in that truck they way you see it

That looks really nice! Thanks for the exhaust info...I order regularly from Summit and Jegs. Reno sounds like a great time. Enjoy!
