Re: tilly to the rescue

Not been on line for a couple of weeks so only just seen the pics of the truck practically finished.

Awesome does not come close to describing how good that looks, the owner must be over the moon. Time to start saving for one of your builds I think!!

Re: tilly to the rescue

Awesome place Clem! Definitely thanks for putting together a cool get together. I wish I could have stayed longer, but with a pregnant wife and my brothers three year old, I knew our time was limited haha. Couldn't believe all of the cool things at your place! Everywhere you looked was something awesome. Hopefully next year I'll bring the truck over and get one of those t-shirts and get to hang around longer.

No problem at all man! I would love to sport a shirt around over here! But only if you let me send you something in return. The truck will be ready for the trip next year!

Clem,
Glad to see that your wife & yourself hosted the perfect party!
I am truly envious of everyone that was able to share the experience!
Wishing that the turn of events in my life wouldn't have excluded my participation...
Hopefully next year I can attend!!!!

Re: tilly to the rescue

Clem I cannot thank you enough for the weekend of awesomeness you provided. It was truly an amazing time, I could have stayed a week !!

So sorry I had to bail out on lunch Monday, but when I packed to go there, I never envisioned the load of T-shirts and souvenirs I would be taking back, but a fast stop at the post office and all was well !!

Personally, I think playing pool with the Brit and the Oregonian while listening to Frank Sinatra/Van Morrison and sipping Red Breast was the best time I had.

Thank you for your hospitality and that of your personal friends Dick and Dorrie, please pass my sincere gratitude to them for our dinner evening.

I have met people from the internet before, but this was certainly the most amazing experience I have had to date in that respect.

Again,
Thank you and Thank Kim, you are a great pair of people.

Re: tilly to the rescue

What type of primers is the green primer? Do you use an epoxy base with some kind of primer that can sit for weeks but be easy to spray a sealer or whatever when you get ready to do the final paint? Epoxy is a pain to scuff or sand a month later and I worry about all those nooks and crannies, it would be nice to find something to put immediately over the epoxy!

now comes final assembly and the fire-it-up phase. soooo want this beast finished and out of here.

sorry about the poor pics. i don't have the touch Mark does on photographing a black vehicle. but once the new camera and i become more familiar with each other, things should improve.

our shepherd pup Gus is 13 weeks old now and 35 pounds. his feet are very big and his ears haven't come up straight yet but he's a cutie. his dad was 140 lbs. and his mom was 110. so we're expecting a good size dog in a year or two.

heres the pics... back next month. later guys.
Gus is huge and intimidating now...thanks for the hood & fender.
