cummins C10

I didn't know this forum page existed! I have a 1970 C10 cummins/5spd truck that I sort of finished last year. Running and driving vehicle but I think I will pull the truck apart and put the running gear in a 72 C20 that I just purchased.

Video of the truck running below when you click on it

Nice C10, and the C20 looks super nice too! Great work on the swap too.

Re: cummins C10

Thanks, the truck took a turn towards diesel powered when I bought a dodge dually and killed it for this project. I missed the truck and ended building this truck and another dodge.

Re: cummins C10

Diesel Wrencher - I went through some of your build thread, looks good. How well did the trans fit with the factory high hump floor? On my C10 it had a low hump and I ended up cutting a good chunk out.

My truck is 2wd so I've got to deal with the crossmember and I've got the engine as low and far back as possible. I am wondering how it will work out with my C20 with the high hump floor. I am running a getrag 5spd in mine so the dimensions our different but just curious.

Re: cummins C10

The NV4500 fits pretty nice. The shifter hole has to be moved back some. But overall the fit is pretty nice. I'd say the bell housing tightness is about the same as a dodge to get bolts in and out on the top ones.
